Primary Education
The education system in Mauritius follows the British model and has been a priority since independence. Primary education is free in public schools. Children start primary school at age 5, where they study for 6 years to earn a Certificate of Primary Education. Subjects include English, French, Geography, History, Mathematics, and Science.

Visa Process for Indian Students to Study in Mauritius
- Submit a filled-in application form (hard copy).
- Provide four passport-sized photos (original; scanned copies are not accepted).
