This pass can be acquired through the Singapore consulate upon showing proof of confirmed enrollment in an academic program and evidence of sufficient funds to support oneself during the study period. The application process for the Student Pass is handled by the educational institutions themselves.

  • Processing Time: The typical processing time for a new application is around 4 weeks. For institutions with EduTrust (PEO) status, it is about 2 weeks. However, some applications may take longer.
  • Notification: The outcome of the application will be sent to the local sponsor and the education institution by post.
  • Work Authorization: To live and work in Singapore, foreign nationals must obtain a work permit or employment pass.

  • Student Pass: In Singapore, all visas are referred to as “Passes,” such as Student Pass, Employment Pass, and Social Visit Pass.
